Honored to continue this work.
When Brooke and I learned that Corretta was looking to step back from the business side of The People Place to focus more on her clinical work and her family, we knew immediately we wanted to be the ones to keep building what she started.
We are not therapists. We are not pretending to be. What we are is two people who believe in this practice's mission, who have spent careers thinking about how to take businesses with strong fundamentals and help them be seen, and who are stepping into ownership with a clear north star: do not break what is working.
What stays the same
- Corretta is still here, still seeing clients, still the heart of the brand.
- Trenton, Gabi, Sarah, Sharnae, and Aaron are still here. Same therapists, same clinical autonomy, same warm rooms.
- Adejah is still our Practice Manager. Dymond and Mimi are still your friendly first hello.
- Insurance acceptance, telehealth, sliding scale, the whole access stack: unchanged.
- The Unapologetically Dope identity. Definitely unchanged.
What we are investing in
- Visibility. Many people who would benefit from this practice have not heard of it yet. We are fixing that.
- Access. A real Spanish-language landing page, evening telehealth slots, a frictionless first message. All in motion.
- Tools for the clinicians. Better booking, better intake, better admin support so they can focus on what they do best.
- Community. More partnerships with the schools, employers, and faith communities that already trust us with referrals.
If you are a client of The People Place, thank you for trusting us. If you are a referrer, thank you for sending people our way. If you are someone who has been thinking about reaching out for a while: this is a pretty good day to do it.
