"Therapy chose me. I'm here to help you choose the life that's waiting for you."
I am the founder of The People Place. I grew up in Arkansas with both parents struggling with addiction, and that experience became the engine behind everything I do professionally. I built the kind of practice I wish had existed when I was a kid.
After more than a decade of clinical work in Virginia and Texas, I came home to Northwest Arkansas to do the work where it mattered most to me. I am licensed in three states and known for a grounded, no-pretense approach. Clients describe sessions with me as real talk that gets you somewhere.
My specialty areas include marital and premarital counseling, trauma and PTSD, parenting and blended families, and what I call cultural fatigue. The particular exhaustion of carrying yourself well in spaces that weren't designed for you. I am also the originator of the "Unapologetically Dope" framework that gives this practice its name and its voice.
